I just finished the book. It was a good story, but I can’t help feeling like Charlie is a half ass Cuthbert. Most of the wit and half the teeth. It echoes of both The Talisman/Black House Dark tower, but at the end, it left me feeling empty. I spent this time with him, I liked him, but I really don’t care where Charlie ends up. I would read another book about Radar…
The man spends my mother’s lifetime scribbling about soft core child porn, killing kids, animals, drug addicts and religious nuts, now I KNOW he’s senile with this lazy title
Man I’ve never been so excited for a book release
In addition to rereading The Dark Tower, I’ll be reading this starting later today. Even though I’m not a huge fantasy fan.
The day is here. I’m ten percent in, I read for a bit right at midnight, then went to bed. Woke up early to keep reading.

I have a feeling this book is going to tie into the Dark Tower for some reason.
Doesn’t 11.22.63 qualify as fantasy? Either way that and The Talisman are my favourite King books so I am beyond excited for Fairy Tale.
I think Stephen King is much better at writing fastany than Robert Jordon yes I know unpopular opinion but I enjoyed the dark tower far more than the wheel of time which I find very slow to be honest

I’m so looking forward to this. I just posted on another page that my favorite King book is “Eyes of the Dragon” and I wished he had written more fantasy. I would love an all-in fantasy by King. I saw this post pop up in my feed just 5 minutes after posting I wished he wrote more fantasy, so I’m taking that as a sign I have to read it when it comes out.

I’m so excited! I loved the Dark Tower series. I haven’t read Talisman, but Dark Tower books were such an emotional rollercoaster for me, so I’m incredibly excited for King to come back to fantasy.

We share the same favorite author and genre and I’m as excited as you are! I hate that some people don’t want him to write certain genres. He is plain and simple a master storyteller so I’ll read anything he writes!
The Talisman is fine as is.
Really looking forward to this. My one fear is that it will be slightly YA…. But I guess we don’t know yet!

I’m REALLY hoping for some DT tie in here…..but I’m not expecting it or feel entitled to it.
I’ll pick this one up of course because I’m a King purest but personally, I’d love to see him write a werewolf tale which, aside from Cycle Of The Werewolf, is a topic he’s never touched on since.
I still haven’t read all his books and can’t wait to get my hands on this one! The man is a true genius.
