Here it is! My final review (on a week to week basis) for TG. Chapter 179 had a lot of content to go over so it makes sense that the review would be longer then normal as well. Thank you Ishida for this wonderful series and thank you to everyone who followed along with me. It has been a pleasure getting to talk TG with you all. On to the next thing 🙂

I honestly don’t think the ending was rushed. Ishida said that he started working on it 6 months before it dropped and that he was getting tired from the pressure.
I personally would have liked a tragic ending but it wouldn’t have made sense at that point. Apparently for some people, it’s either things go the way they want them to or they just shit on the series and call it stuff like the next Bleach and a shounen.
It’s true that the last arc had som problems but nothing worthy of destroying the entirety of TG and definitely not worth ranting so hard about.
We knew for months that it was going to be the last arc and when stuff started concluding, people couldn’t accept the fact that it was gonna end and bragged about it.
It’s sad that in the last days of Tokyo Ghoul, it became popular to shit on the series.

That into made me cry. I don’t like the rushing but I still love the series. I will always remember TG on Mondays.

Now I am going to read – To you, My Immortal.

I have yet to start Taizai too but it will take me time to catch up.

Awesome video bro. BTW I think that the point of Kuroiwa being alive is to show how sturdy his family line is. His son and him are basically walking tanks.
Also, Koma and Irimi are dead. I’m just dissapointed that we got nothing on Eto. Even if it was only a confirmation that she died. Wished for more on Kurona, Amon, Akira and Takizawa too…

Have you ever thought on reviewing the promised neverland manga?

What I learned from Tokyo Ghoul and Kaneki’s story is that no world is perfect. We all would like to live a normal everyday life but not even that can last forever which is why we must always prepare ourselves everyday physically and mentally cause your world can change in the blink of an eye. When Kaneki first became a ghoul he felt as though he didn’t want that life at all, cursing at Touka calling all ghouls monsters. But after he was introduced more into the ghoul world he finds out that humans aren’t that different from them and was able to broaden his horizons and grow as a person. That kind of character development soon influenced dozens to hundreds of people to understand him and each other as a whole.

Another thing I love about Tokyo ghoul is the dramatic romance Ishida displayed between Kaneki and Touka over the series. I did mention this before in chapter 151 but again how Kaneki and Touka started off in the beginning and where they are now makes me put this as one of the best well developed OTP in any series of all time and I’m sure a lot of other people agree.

Finally how Kaneki admits to Furuta how he would go through all the pain and suffering again just to be where is now says a lot about any main character. It’s like he is personally thanking his god Ishida for giving him this life. I’m sure not many main characters say that about themselves.

Overall I will love Tokyo Ghoul till the end of time cause this series has given me hope to believe in my own world and that I must strive to overcome any obstacles ahead. In the words of Bruce lee, “Do not pray for an easy life. Pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.” Thank you Ishida and thank you Sean for your videos. I look forward to any future content you have in store for us.

P.S. For Kaneki and Touka’s second child. It’s definitely a boy cause we have Hikari and Touka who are the older sisters, and Yomo and Ayato who are the younger brothers. So it’s only natural that Kaneki and Touka continue the common bloodline of Kirishima siblings and give their daughter a younger brother to pick on. 🙂

I hope we get some light novels that cover the characters that lacked conclusion. Akira and Amon to name two. I hope Ishida is at least thinking about it after his break.

I wonder if Kaneki ever continued his classes at Kamii University.

I found your channel quite recently (thanks to YawManzo btw) but thanks for showing your genuine passion for Tokyo Ghoul throughout all the videos I’ve seen. I’ll continue to watch your MHA and RWBY content! Also Kisetsu wa was the exact song I listened to whilst reading the final chapter, good choice putting into the intro lol

Nice intro to summon up how the fans felt at the end of Tokyo ghoul and to think kaneki went from being a college who went on a date with rize to finding his way to living a half ghoul life in the world of Tokyo to becoming the symbol of bringing ghouls and the ccg together and seeing kaneki and touka as made me tear up thank you sense ishida
